Upstate, New York (7, July 2016) – Get ready UNY, Paul Singh is coming to town as part of his Results Junkies North American Tech Tour to meet with Upstate’s most promising startups!
Paul is a veteran entrepreneur and venture capitalist touring the country in search of his next big investment. At the request of UVC and in collaboration with our innovation partners AT&T and The Tech Garden, Paul will spend a week in Syracuse, Utica and Saratoga Springs. During the Upstate Tech Tour, he’ll meet with startup founders and UNY Innovators for a week-long series of networking events, fireside chats and meeting. Paul will also select a handful of web-based startup founders seeking capital or in position to raise capital for private office hours. “My goal throughout the Tech Tour is to share my expertise as an entrepreneur and investor, as well as bring venture capital dollars to secondary startup markets that don’t regularly get the same amount of attention as well-known tech hubs,” said Singh.
Paul is one of the original three partners of 500 Startups. Most recently, Paul launched the Crystal Tech Fund as well as Disruption Corporation, which was sold to DC-based incubator 1776 last year. He’s now committed to traveling the country as part of his Results Junkies North American Tech Tour to visit the places where startups actually start and grow their businesses.
“The intention of bringing Paul to Upstate NY is to highlight our region’s innovation community and give Upstate founders the opportunity to learn firsthand how to raise funding and grow successful businesses. We have events planned at The Tech Garden in Syracuse, and Paul will be the keynote at StartFast Venture Accelerator’s Demo Day on August 16,” said UVC Cofounder Nasir Ali. “Paul will also meet with angel investors at the new thINCubator space in downtown Utica, and round out the tour in Saratoga Springs at several events for founders, investors and the startup community.”
