Mark Dzwonczyk is the President and CEO of Nicholville Telephone Company, parent of Slic Network Solutions, and charged with the major deployment of triple-play services in the rural North Country of New York State. He has been successful in this role by growing Nicholville’s customer base by 10x in 3 years, while providing broadband to otherwise underserved residences and businesses – an absolutely critical mission for the economic development in rural America.
Mark is a career entrepreneur who understands telecom market trends and leads businesses that deliver innovative products and services to customers. Prior to his work with Nicholville and Adirondack Broadband, he led innovative businesses in the mobile conference and collaboration markets (Vello, Callvine). Mark’s first company, Sigpro, was the classical garage startup, which he bootstrapped into a leading VOIP product design business with operations in the US and China before a successful exit to Guest-Tek Interactive Entertainment Inc in 2005.
In addition to this experience, Mark sits on the Board of Trustees for Clarkson University driving entrepreneurship initiatives and playing a critical role in local economic development. Mark also serves as a member on several Advisory Boards and Executive Councils including Paul Smith College, North Country Public Radio, New York State Innovation Capital Fund, Point Positive and Wholeshare. And he holds degrees from Stanford University, MIT and Tufts University.
