Syracuse-based Ali is an influential voice in seeking to unite the startup ecosystems across Western and Central New York.
In an article for Buffalo Business First, Nasi Ali, CEO and Cofounder of Upstate Venture Connect, shared insights on growing a technology ecosystem across Upstate NY.
“Visibility is the single biggest problem our region faces. All of our communities have grown up in isolation,” said Ali. “But the real competition isn’t between Buffalo or Rochester of Syracuse, it’s between those cities and the rest of the world, particularly in the big metro areas that are attracting our best and brightest. We have to create greater visibility so that people are aware there are a lot of great companies that are hiring where you can have fast growth, fast learning and fast advancement.”
