In this role you’ll work with Binghamton entrepreneurs, creatives, academic leaders and business professionals to build a more vibrant and connected community. You’ll also gain broad experience in storytelling, and learn about online marketing techniques including communications strategies for social media and digital newsletters.
Attend local events as a Drive Binghamton Brand Ambassador
Assist in the creation of blogs, email campaigns, social media communications and press releases
Assist in the distribution and delivery of marketing materials
Assist will fulfillment of marketing offers to ecosystem partners and sponsors
Assist with planning and execution of Drive Binghamton events and meetups
Perform analysis of marketing data
Seek and analyze on and offline marketing materials for comparable organizations
Enter contact, other information into UNY Events Calendar and UNY Ecosystem Map
To qualify for the Drive Binghamton marketing internship, candidates should be passionate about entrepreneurship and able to work remotely in a fast-paced team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with some knowledge of web and social media marketing. Interest/background in digital marketing, advertising or event planning preferred. Experience with WordPress, Hootsuite, iMovie and Google (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms) are a plus.
