Clarke Foley

Upstate Ecosystem Builder & UVC Community Connector

Clarke Foley | UVC Community ConnectorClarke Foley has worked at startups his whole life. His first business was his own gardening company, started in middle school, which had business cards with the motto “If you don’t need it, I’ll weed it.” From there, more terrible puns and companies were created.

As a musician in the bands Count the Stars and Action Action, both signed to Victory Records, these “startups” followed the struggling, Ramen-eating founders stereotypes. These startups just happened to be in a tour van for 6 years touring 45 US states, Canada, and Mexico. 100,000+ album sales, 3 music videos, and 2 Vans Warped Tours later, Clarke was ready to move back to New York’s Capital Region, and start a new chapter.

Clarke started as the Director of Operations at MadGlory in 2013. He coordinates software development and design projects, building innovative products for video game studios and publishers.

Before joining MadGlory, Clarke was a web producer for Major League Gaming (MLG) and Agora Games. He and his teams delivered software enabling professional Esports competitions while broadcasting live streaming video to 190 countries and hundreds of thousands of concurrent viewers.

Clarke earned his BA and MBA in Business Administration and Information Technology Management, Cum Laude, from the University at Albany School of Business. He is a co-founder of Odd Networks, and was a co-founder / Producer of Level Up Con, a creative technology conference in New York.
