Veteran Silicon Valley entrepreneur, adviser, angel investor and Hamilton College alumnus, Marc Randolph returns to Upstate New York!
UPSTATE, NY – (PRESS RELEASE) – Upstate Venture Connect (UVC) is excited to announce that Marc Randolph, Co-Founder of Netflix, will be the featured speaker at the 2018 Upstate Unleashed Conference. The conference will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at The Oncenter in Syracuse, NY. Last year, more than 350 entrepreneurs and startup supporters from across Upstate NY and beyond attended this sold out event.
After graduating from Hamilton College, Marc became a veteran Silicon Valley entrepreneur, executive mentor and angel investor. Marc co-founded the online movie and television streaming service, Netflix, in 1996. He served as the company’s CEO, and was a member of its board of directors until his retirement in 2004.
In a four decade entrepreneurial career, Marc has founded multiple successful companies, including Looker Data Science (2012), IntegrityQA (1995) and MicroWarehouse (1988). “I am excited to return to Upstate NY, to visit the Hamilton campus, and to engage the next generation of entrepreneurs who are transforming the region’s economy,” he said.
Since leaving Netflix, Marc has been helping other entrepreneurs individually and through his public speaking engagements. According to Marc, “What’s fascinating is that the process of speaking about it forces you to figure out – how does this work? How do you find out what the common elements of success are in starting something – in building something new?”
