Sandbox startups come out to play!

Throughout the summer, a dozen teams of college students were hard at work on their startup ideas in the Syracuse Student Sandbox. The Syracuse Student Sandbox is a unique business incubator that gives aspiring student entrepreneurs the resources to make their visions a reality.  The twelve week experiential based program has an end-goal of producing revenue generating entities or investment ready firms.  Assisted by about 40 mentors from the local community, these teams pulled together prototypes and business outlines with the goal of finding interested investors.  On August 18, a packed crowd of about 200 people watched the presentations and got a chance to check out each offering.

Check out some of the team descriptions and links to videos online.

The Sandbox program is now in its second year and is the result of a unique collaboration between the Syracuse business community and six local colleges and universities.  All those interested in participating and supporting these young entrepreneurs should contact Sandbox maestro and Head Coach John Liddy (email: john@thetechgarden.com).
