Upstate Venture Connect (UVC) is helping revitalize the Upstate New York economy by supporting venture-backable entrepreneurs. Are you someone who shares our interest in rebuilding Upstate and helping create more high growth opportunities? Do you want to build a network of high value contacts in the emerging tech ecosystem?

The Startup Community Advocate will…

• Engage 3-5 new founders a month and introduce them to UVC offerings.
• Attend 2-3 entrepreneurship events per month in your community.
• Organize 2-3 networking gatherings per year to link emerging founders with experienced UNY50 members.
• Share news about your region’s founders for Upstate wide distribution via UVC channels.
• Make introductions for local founders that may benefit from the connection.
• Track connections and founders in Airtable database 
• Confirm regional events are on uvc.org/events

The ideal candidate will be…

• Curious about startups, entrepreneurship, and high growth business
• Able to travel to events 
• Working independently and remotely while also meeting performance expectations
• Located in WNY, Rochester, CNY, Ithaca, or the Capital Region
