Chedy Hampson

Chedy Hampson is an accomplished entrepreneur with a passion for uniting people around shared interests. From Health & Wellness to Team Sports & Gaming, Economic Development, and Business Scaling Leadership, Chedy’s ventures reflect his dedication to fostering growth and connection in the communities he cares about.

Chedy founded his first business in 1998, which would evolve into TCGplayer.com, a leading digital marketplace for collectible trading card games. Under his leadership, TCGplayer.com grew to employ over 700 people before its sale in 2023, playing a pivotal role in the development of Syracuse’s Tech Corridor. As a key figure in the Tech Scene Movement in Downtown Syracuse, Chedy created a thriving local workplace that mirrored the vibrant global online community he built.

Chedy’s entrepreneurial spirit extends beyond business. He is deeply committed to Central New York’s growth and success. Through his investments in local initiatives, he supports economic and cultural development, believing that communities – whether local, global, or virtual – thrive when investments are made in their people, places, and projects.

Most recently Chedy launched the South Side Community Growth Foundation, a nonprofit committed to supporting Syracuse’s South Side neighborhood through partnerships and investments in impactful community initiatives.

Chedy resides in Central New York and is an avid Syracuse Orange fan, and lifelong gamer.
