In a forum for next-gen entrepreneurs, innovators, and industry professionals, IGNITE U NY on March 21 focused on emerging enterprises in the Capital Region that are shaping the future of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) education in grades kindergarten through 12th grade.
Dozens of investors from across the state have already confirmed their attendance. Angel investors participating in the panel discussion include Johnny LeHane of Hudson Valley Startup Fund, Sandy Wollman of Westchester Angels, and Dick Frederick of Eastern NY Angels. Nasir Ali, Executive Director of Upstate Venture Connect, will moderate the discussion.

Last week I attended the kickoff party for the Central New York Biotech Accelerator (CNYBAC), an incubation and acceleration facility in Syracuse, NY designed to catalyze the commercialization of biomedical technologies. The room was filled with leading biotechnology and biomedical researchers and executives specializing in everything from novel proton therapy solutions to pharmaceutical developments.
