Serial Entrepreneur, Angel Investor & Upstate Ecosystem Leader
Chuck Stormon has been helping entrepreneurs and startup companies for 20+ years. He’s the Managing Director of StartFast Venture Accelerator, a venture backed accelerator and venture capital fund for early-stage software companies, and his latest venture, StartFast Code, a full-stack coding program in Central New York.
Chuck is also an LP in the Seed Capital Fund of CNY and FG Angels, and an active angel investor in 32 portfolio companies.
In addition to these efforts, Chuck mentors for Seed Sumo, Neurolaunch and Dogfish Accelerators, and is a member of the founding team of Kyros Global Accelerator Fund, which leads investments in high-growth tech companies.
In 2014, Chuck co-founded his sixth successful startup, RushTera, a leading provider of accelerated large file sharing and streaming to Focus Features, film festivals and other companies that “make the magic happen.” He’s built world-class enterprise software companies, SaaS business models, even a chip manufacturer, while successfully raising over $47 million in capital and generating significant shareholder wealth through exits totaling $101 million and counting.
Chuck loves sharing what he’s learned. He’s well known for cutting through the seemingly complex to the essentials. He’s done every job there is in a technology business, from Corporate Development to Coding, Corporate Strategy to VLSI design, General Management, Sales, Marketing, Product Management, managing local and off-shore software development, Mergers and Acquisitions, Intellectual Property, and International Operations in both public and private companies from bootstrap startup to $500M in annual revenues.
Above all else, he enjoys building, coaching and leading teams to produce outstanding results, build competitive advantage, and get the company acquired.
