Michael Gursha is the co-founder, chairman, and CEO at Point Curve, a media and technology company that owns and operates various consumer Internet brands and technology businesses. Gursha leads the company’s overall strategy, operations, finance, investor relations, business development and partnerships, driving innovation and growth across its portfolio.
Gursha also serves as CEO of Digital Information Resources, LLC (DIR), a company that operates a network of digital media websites. The DIR portfolio includes Skimboarding.com, StandUpPaddleboarding.com, TennisLibrary.com, GolfReport.com, ChessChampion.com, WeekOneFantasy.com, PickleballSquid.com, and others – each serving niche communities with curated, high-quality content.
In addition, Michael is co-founder and CEO at rookieroad.com, a digital sports encyclopedia that provides the rules, lingo and gameplay for all sports globally. Michael helped build the brand into a global destination becoming one of the most popular sports websites on the Internet.
Michael is an active advisor / board member to early stage technology, consumer internet and media companies. He is a board member for Bettle Inc. a social first fantasy sports app and was previously a board member for PowerSpike, Inc. a destination for activating sponsorships in the creator community until its acquisition in 2022.
Michael serves on the national board of directors for America On Tech, a nonprofit organization with a mission to prepare the next generation of technology leaders by creating pathways for young people to thrive in technology and innovation. Michael is a member of the Newhouse Emerging Leaders Board at Syracuse University which exists to support and counsel the Dean of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. He is Chair Emeritus of the Young Whitman Advisory Council and a former member of the Whitman Advisory Council at the Whitman School of Management.
Michael graduated from Syracuse University magna cum laude with a dual degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and the Martin J. Whitman School of Management.
